The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in pursuance of sections 4(2) and 5(9) of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is ordered, as follows:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Commissioner Order 2006.
(2) This Order comes into force on 22nd January 2007.
(3) In this Order, “the Act” means the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967.
2. In Schedule 2 to the Act—
(a)insert the following entries in the appropriate place in alphabetical order—

3. In Schedule 4 to the Act, delete the entries relating to—

Registered Inspectors of Schools Appeal Tribunals.
4. The Orders specified in the Schedule are revoked.

This Order amends the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967. It adds the bodies referred to in article 2(a) to the list of departments and authorities which are subject to investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration; it deletes from that list those bodies referred to in article 2(b); and it amends those entries in the list referred to in article 2(c) and (d). This Order deletes the bodies referred to in article 3 from the list of bodies whose administrative functions may be subject to investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration under the terms of section 5(7). This Order also revokes instruments amending the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 which are spent.
1967 c.13; section 4 was substituted by the Parliamentary and Health Service Commissioners Act 1987 (c.39), section 1(1); section 5(9) was inserted by the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1994 (c.14), section 1(1).
