12. Nothing in this Part shall require a partner or associated authority to provide information, or not to provide information, in respect of which provision may be made in exercise of the power conferred by—
(a)section 20(5)(c) or (d) of the Police and Justice Act 2006(1) (guidance and regulations regarding crime and disorder matters), or
(b)section 244(2)(d) or (e) of the National Health Service Act 2006(2) (functions of overview and scrutiny committees).

Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications. They aim to make the Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Statutory Instrument or Draft Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament from June 2004 onwards.
