The Secretary of State has consulted with the Registrar General, the Registrar General for Scotland and the Registrar General for Northern Ireland in accordance with sections 20(4), 22(2) and 24(2) of the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Act 2004(1).

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 19(2)(a), 21(2)(a) and 23(2)(a) of that Act, having regard to the meanings of “prescribed” in sections 22(2) and 24(2), makes the following Regulations.
