The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(4) of the Offender Management Act 2007(1).
A draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 41(4) of that Act.
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Offender Management Act 2007 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2013.
(2) This Order comes into force on 6th January 2014.
2. The following provisions of the Offender Management Act 2007 come into force on 6th January 2014—
(1) section 28 (application of polygraph conditions); and
(2) section 29 (effect of polygraph conditions).

This Order is the sixth commencement order made under the Offender Management Act 2007 (c.21). It brings provisions concerning the application and effect of polygraph conditions (contained in sections 28 and 29 of the Offender Management Act 2007) into force. These provisions enable the Secretary of State to include polygraph conditions for certain offenders released on licence.
