The Secretary of State makes the following order, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 324(3) and (4) of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009(1).

1.  This order may be cited as the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2013.

2.  The appointed day for the coming into force of section 41 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 4 to, the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 is 31st March 2014.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This instrument brings into force on 31 March 2014 the provisions of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 concerning the declaration of an exclusive economic zone and the consequential amendments to other legislation.
