The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(2) of the Local Government Act 1985(1).
In accordance with section 29(3) of that Act he has had regard to the number of local government electors in the areas of the constituent councils of the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority.
He has consulted those councils in accordance with section 29(4) of Act.
1985 c. 51; section 29 and Part 6 of Schedule 10 were amended by Schedule 9 to the Police and Magistrates’ Courts Act 1994 (c. 29), and Part 6 of Schedule 10 was amended by paragraph 53 of Schedule 4 to the Local Transport Act 2008 (c. 26).
