The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 171ZU(2)(b)(ii) and (4)(c)(ii),171ZV(2)(b)(ii), (2)(e), (4)(c)(ii) and (4)(f) and 171ZW(1)(c) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(1) and section 5(1)(p) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(2) makes the following Regulations.
The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it(3).
1992 c. 4. Sections 171 ZU and 171ZV were inserted by the Children and Families Act 2014, section 119(1); see section 171ZZ4(1) for the definition of “prescribed”; under section 175(1) regulations are made by the Secretary of State
Social Security Administration Act 1992 c.5, section 173(1)(b).
