The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 172(1) and (2), 174, 178, 182, 184(1) and 272(7) and (8) of the National Health Service Act 2006 M1.

M12006 c. 41. See section 275(1) of the National Health Service Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”) which contains definitions of “prescribed” and “regulations” that are relevant to the powers being exercised. By virtue of section 271(1) of the 2006 Act, the functions of the Secretary of State being exercised in the making of these Regulations are exercisable only in relation to England.
