The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (Special Trustees) Amendment Regulations 2015

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(3) of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014(1) makes the following Regulations.

A draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 43(3) and (4)(a) of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and was approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (Special Trustees) Amendment Regulations 2015 and come into force on 1st April 2015.

Amendment of Act

2.—(1) Schedule 2 to the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 Act is amended as follows.

(2) At the end of paragraph 24 (special trustees for a hospital) insert—

NOTE: This Act applies to special trustees for a hospital only if the trust of which they are trustees is not a charitable trust..

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend paragraph 24 of Schedule 2 to the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 so that the Act only applies to special trustees if the trust of which they are trustees relates to non-charitable matters.

A full Impact Assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
