The Secretary of State has been designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(1) in relation to the abolition of restrictions on the import or export of goods(2) and in relation to discrimination(3) and makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries and Rural Affairs (Miscellaneous Revocations) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 1st January 2018.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales only.
(3) Regulation 3 applies to England only.
2. The Seal Fisheries (North Pacific) Act 1912 (Amendment) Regulations 1996(4) are revoked.
3. The Agricultural Wages (Abolition of Permits to Incapacitated Persons) Regulations 2004(5) are revoked.

Regulation 2 of these Regulations revokes the Seal Fisheries (North Pacific) Act 1912 (Amendment) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/2685), which are now spent. These Regulations applied to the United Kingdom and are revoked in relation to England and Wales.
Regulation 3 revokes the Agricultural Wages (Abolition of Permits to Incapacitated Persons) Regulations 2004 (S.I. 2004/2178), which have been superseded. These Regulations applied to England and Wales and are revoked in relation to England.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
