Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9(1) and (4) and 11(1) and (4) of, and paragraph 12 of Schedule 4 to, the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020(1).
These are the first regulations to be made under section 9 of that Act. In accordance with paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 4 to that Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
