The Consumer Protection (Enforcement) (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020
Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2) and (3)
The Secretary of State has been designated() for the purposes of making regulations under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972() in relation to measures relating to consumer protection.
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and section 8(1) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018().
A draft of these Regulations has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 and paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
