The Minister for the Cabinet Office, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 58(1)(a) (as extended by section 26(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993(1)) and section 154(5) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”)(2), makes the following Order.
In accordance with section 7(1) and (2)(hc) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000(3), the Minister for the Cabinet Office has consulted the Electoral Commission before making this Order.
In accordance with section 154(2)(b) of the 2011 Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
2011 c. 13. Section 58 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”) was amended by S.I. 2014/268, 2015/1526, 2016/997 and 2018/1310. Section 154(5) was amended by S.I. 2014/268 and 2016/997.
2000 c. 41; section 7(2)(hc) was inserted by paragraph 11 of Schedule 10 to the 2011 Act.
