2.—(1) The Armed Forces (Part 5 of the Armed Forces Act 2006) Regulations 2009(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 8(1) (referral of case to Director of Service Prosecutions by service police: commanding officer documents and information), after “service police force”, in both places it appears, insert “or the tri-service serious crime unit(2)”.
For the meaning of “tri-service serious crime unit” see section 375(1A) of the Armed Forces Act 2006. Section 375(1A) was inserted by section 12(4) of the Armed Forces Act 2021 (c. 35).
