The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12(9) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018(1).
In accordance with paragraph 11 of Schedule 7 to that Act, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
2018 c. 16. “Minister of the Crown”, “modify” and “enactment” are each defined in section 20(1) of that Act.
