3. In regulation 7A of the Social Security (Credits) Regulations 1975 (credits for carer’s allowance)(1)—
(a)in the heading, after “carer’s allowance” insert “or carer support payment”;
(b)in paragraph (1)—
(i)after “carer’s allowance”, in both places it occurs, insert “or carer support payment”;
(ii)after “would have been so payable but for” insert “regulation 16 of the Carer’s Assistance (Carer Support Payment) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 or”;
(c)after paragraph (2) insert—
“(3) In this regulation “carer support payment” means carer’s assistance given in accordance with the Carer’s Assistance (Carer Support Payment) (Scotland) Regulations 2023.”.
