These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 (“the principal Regulations”) to—
ensure a person listed in regulation 3(9) of the principal Regulations is not exempt from the requirement to comply with regulation 3 of those regulations if that person has arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 or has, within the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of their arrival in Northern Ireland, departed from or transited through any country or territory listed in Schedule 5;

require people residing at the same address as a person who has arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 to self-isolate.
Botswana, Israel, Jerusalem, Mauritius and Seychelles are omitted from the list of countries and territories in Schedule 3 to the principal Regulations exempt from the requirement in regulation 4 of those Regulations to self-isolate for 10 days after arrival in Northern Ireland.
