Coming into operation
at 4.00 a.m. on 8th June 2021
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation at 4.00 a.m. on 8th June 2021.
(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021(3).
2. The principal Regulations are amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 7.
3. In regulation 27(14)(d) (amount of fixed penalty) for “£2,000” substitute “£1,000”.
4. In Schedule 1 (Red list countries), at the appropriate place in alphabetical order, insert “Afghanistan”, “Bahrain”, “Costa Rica”, “Egypt”, “Sri Lanka”, “Sudan”, and “Trinidad and Tobago”.
5. In Schedule 2 (Green list countries), omit “Portugal”.
6. In Schedule 4 (Persons who are exempt), in paragraph 52(a) of Part 2, after “Medical Devices Regulations 2002” insert “and/or Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5th April 2017”.
7. In Schedule 7 (Managed Isolation), in paragraph 11(1)(a) for “paragraph 3 of Schedule 6” substitute “paragraph 4 of Schedule 6”.

These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (“the principal Regulations”).
An amendment corrects an error in those Regulations, namely a typographical error in Regulation 27 (Amount of fixed penalty) in paragraph (11)(d) regarding the penalty for not taking a test.
Schedule 1 (Red list countries) is amended to include Afghanistan, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Sudan, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Schedule 2 (Green list countries) is amended to omit Portugal.
Schedule 4 (Persons who are exempt) is amended to refer to the relevant regulations.
Schedule 7 (Managed isolation) is also amended to correct a typographical error in paragraph 11(1)(a) (Permitted reasons to leave or be outside the place of managed isolation) to refer to the relevant paragraph in Schedule 6 relating to consequences of test results for red list and amber list arrivals.
No impact assessment has been prepared for these Regulations.
