1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Plant Health (Licence Fees) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st February 1996.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
(3) In these Regulations—
“growing medium” and “soil” have the meanings ascribed to them by the Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 1993(1); and
“licence” means a licence under article 30 or 30A of that Order.
2. The Import (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) Order 1993(2) is hereby revoked.
3. There shall be paid to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in respect of each application or inspection of a type described in column 2 of the Schedule to these Regulations the fee prescribed in column 3 of the Schedule in relation to that type of application or inspection.
