The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions(1) makes this Scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16, 17 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:–

1.  The M32 Motorway (Hambrook Interchange to Lower Ashley Road Interchange) and Connecting Roads Scheme 1989(3) is hereby varied as follows:

for paragraph 2 of Part II of the Schedule to that Scheme substitute–

Junction with the Motorway at Eastville Interchange.

2.  Four routes connecting the northeastbound and southwestbound carriageways of the Motorway with the Eastville Interchange Roundabout (the special roads along these routes being respectively given the reference numbers 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the deposited plan). The Special Road numbered 4 excludes a distance of approximately 14 metres from the junction of the exit slip road with the Muller Road/Stapleton Road Roundabout, in a southerly direction.

2.  This Order shall come into force on 10th June 1999 and may be cited as the M32 Motorway (Hambrook Interchange to Lower Ashley Road Interchange) and Connecting Roads Scheme 1989 (Variation) Scheme 1999.
