Note:

The expression “relevant weight” in Regulation 44(3) of the Construction and Use Regulations shall for the purposes of this Schedule be construed as meaning the maximum gross weight of the vehicle or the maximum train weight of the vehicle, whichever is the greater, as determined under Regulation 5 of these Regulations.

Vehicles fitted with anti-lock brakes are exempted from the requirements contained in Annex II, paragraph 1.1.4.2 of Commission Directive 75/524/EEC if they comply with the requirements for anti-lock braking systems in Annex 13 to ECE Regulation 13.03.
